In spite of dark clouds and the distant rumble of thunder we managed to get 3kW of solar panels up and running last Tuesday. We're very grateful to Nick Jenkey of Dulas who is normally based in North Wales but enjoyed a busman's holiday at Potager, installing the system with Mark (and Saffa and Jo and Awen and Barnaby and anyone else who happened to be around...)

The array will generate a substantial portion of Potager's electricity use - the balance coming entirely from renewable sources (including the new Delabole wind turbines), provided by Good Energy. Further reductions in energy use will come with the refurbishment of the café this winter and the addition of solar water heating.
