Colours of Cornwall – Naturally Dye Your Own Wool Socks – Sat 18th January 2025

Come and explore the hidden dye plants of Cornwall and dye your very own pair of British wool socks. This is a hands on, experiential workshop to empower you to take natural dying back home. Have you ever wondered what colours you can get from the plants around you and from your own kitchen scraps? Together we will explore non toxic mordant techniques, forage for colour in Potager’s garden on a foraging walk and learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves – and you will leave with your own wool socks and seasonal colours swatch sheet. This is a full, creative, playful and empowering day, suitable for beginners, run in Potager’s beautiful garden studio.

We will be dying socks are made in the UK from fleeces of the North Devon Exmoor Bluefaced sheep and named after the local Lynton farmer, John Stanbury, who breeds the sheep that supply the wool. I have a range of adult sizes available.
