Debbie George has been a regular visitor to Potager for many years and we’re excited to be hosting a workshop with her here.
Working with the ancient medium of gesso, with which she primes her panels, Debbie will teach you her technique of building up layer upon layer of paint to create a wonderful luminosity and depth. She then scratches into and through the layers to emphasise form. By doing so she expresses subtle tonal and sculptural qualities.
The workshop will start with a stroll around the garden to collect flowers which you will arrange into your favourite mug or jug to create your still life. Debbie will then guide you through the process – no experience is needed and tools and materials will be provided – just bring a favourite mug or small jug.
Lunch in the café and refreshments are included.
Take home a painting and a hand picked bunch of flowers!
