Come and spend the weekend weaving with beautiful soft materials to make your own lidded foraging basket or pouch. This weekend will be an introduction to basketry and an exploration of the abundance of natural materials available to us.
This workshop is suitable for beginners – we will be working with native rush and barks learning basket making techniques and getting creative. We will explore a range of weaving and cordage techniques and have time to finish your foraging basket complete with strap and wooden button. The workshop will be held in Potager’s beautiful garden studio and the cost covers all materials, tea and coffee. Please bring a packed lunch as the cafe will be closed.
