Natural Dyes with Shibori Technique – Friday 19th June 2026

Come and explore the hidden dye plants of autumn alongside the colours that can be found from the scraps from the kitchen. Ever wondered what colours you can get from nettle, bramble, hawthorn or gorse? Together we will explore non toxic mordant techniques, learn to extract colours from flowers, barks and leaves and you will leave with your own shibori dyed piece of British wool and seasonal colours swatch sheet. This is a practical, playful and experiential workshop to spark your curiosity and start your natural dye journey. We will be based in Potager’s beautiful studio with time to go on a foraging walk in the gardens.

Run by Naomi Hannam of Creative Roots– ‘I am artist, educator and nature based facilitator. My work centres around weaving connection between land, community and creativity.
