Introduction to Linocut Printmaking with Jill Dunn – Saturday 17th October 2026

A one day course for beginners, Jill will introduce you to Linocut relief-printmaking and the techniques and tools used. We will experiment with tools and surfaces, design and image-transfer, to each create a unique carved block to print (both by hand and table-top press) and take home.

There will be a short break for lunch. You’re welcome to order in the café or to bring a packed lunch.

Working under the name Riverbird, Jill creates nature-inspired original hand-pressed linocut, woodcut and collograph prints from her cosy home studio next to the Penryn River in South Cornwall. She works from her own sketches, drawings and photographs, combining simple colour combinations with an often figurative style.

A lifelong fascination with sea and estuary birds lies at the heart of her work. She is intensely inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds her in her home county.

She has been practising printmaking and teaching for over 20 years.
