Learn and develop Cyanotype printing techniques – Friday 9th October 2026

Cyanotype is one of the oldest forms of photographic process and also one of the most eco-friendly. It is an exciting and versatile process that can be explored on multiple surfaces and through a huge range of different image making methods. Frequently used to create prints from plants it can also be used for so much more!

Cyanotype is also a fantastic process to work with in your own home or studio as it requires no specialist equipment, chemistry or a darkroom.

What to expect:

– Learn how to mix and coat cyanotype chemicals on paper and fabric

– Learn about the process of exposing and washing cyanotypes

– Explore a range of possible image making techniques on pre-prepared paper, including use of natural and plant materials, photographic collage, drawing, frottage and objects

– Experiment with natural toning techniques to develop the images further.

– Prepare your own paper to take away

All materials provided with additional chemicals and pre-coated paper available to buy for use after.

Who is it for?
Anyone with an interest in alternative photography, printmaking or natural processes. No prior skills or knowledge needed.16+
