Learn to make a Willow Trug that you can use to gather and harvest produce in the garden.

In this two day workshop, using traditional tools and techniques we will learn to weave a square base using a screwblock. With integrated side uprights we will then learn to wale, slew and pack to create this useful and beautiful basket. The basket will be finished with a robust border and wrapped handle.

We will pay special attention to selecting willow and using natural colours.

Suitable for improvers and those who have had some experience weaving with willow before. Please get in touch if you are unsure.

Lin Lovekin is an experienced basketmaker living and working in West Cornwall.
