Pinhole Cameras are the building blocks of all photography practice – simple, yet with infinite creative potential. A great way to learn the principals of photography and darkroom chemistry, while exploring how creative photography can be when perfection isn’t the aim.

What to expect:

– Learn the principals of camera obscuras and pinhole camera

– Make your own pinhole cameras from drinks cans

– Learn how to use the camera to take experimental, original photos around Potager, producing a series of images

– Learn the process and chemistry of developing paper negatives in a portable darkroom

– Experiment with multiple exposures and ways to manipulate the process producing a series of images.

– Prepare a pinhole camera to be a ‘Solargraph’ to take a 6 month exposure that captures the movement of the sun

– Learn some basic methods to edit your pinhole and solargraph images.
