I’ve facilitated groups and individuals in the great outdoors for over 30 years and the last 18 years have taught wild food foraging, having set up https://wildwalks-southwest. co.uk/ in 2007.
I learnt to make nettle string when I was 21, and more recently have got re-obssessed with this satisfying way to transform plants and get to know their quailites for cord, rope and crafts. I find it meditative and a great way to use my hands to counter our digital and synthetic world.
Foraging and plants are the glue that brings together the things that I love; nature, time outdoors, walking, good food, creativity, physical activity and people.
