Carl has created a range of contemporary, sculptural garden furniture, inspired by, and made using traditional wooden boat building techniques. They are made of oak, ash and larch and fastened with copper boat nails. The curves are achieved by steaming the wood and bending it around formers. To retain the curves and to give exceptional strength, the components are then laminated together. They are are designed to survive all that a British Summer can throw at them.Sculptural but useful, they need to be seen & sat in.
