Tropaeolum majus better known as nasturtiums. The leaves and flowers are edible and have a lovely peppery taste which can add a nice perk to a green salad. They are also great for ground cover or in a hanging basket.

One of my favourite spots in the garden is this simple planting of snowdrops, hellebores and Ophiopogon planiscapus ‘Nigrescens’. Though quite a common garden plant, it is one of my favourites and I love the way it contrasts with the bright green foliage near it.
